Is RAIDBORN multiplayer or co-op?
RAIDBORN is a single-player only game. There is no multiplayer or co-op mode. You explore dungeons and fight enemies alone.
Is RAIDBORN a roguelike?
RAIDBORN has roguelike elements (procedurally generated dungeons, permadeath options) but is primarily an action RPG. You can choose between Intense (hardcore roguelike) and Relaxed modes.
Do I need the DLC to enjoy the game?
No. The base game is fully complete with the 1.0 Legacy Update. The Founder's Pack adds cosmetic/legendary items (and can be obtained for free by registering for news), and Spellcraft & Wizardry adds the magic system as optional content. Magic was never part of the original vision — the developer's focus was always melee/ranged combat.
How long is RAIDBORN?
A typical playthrough takes 15-25 hours, but the procedurally generated dungeons and multiple skill builds provide high replayability for 50+ hours. Completing all achievements (including all 9 Dungeon Banes and 5 Ancestor Tombs) adds significant playtime.
Is RAIDBORN on console or just PC?
RAIDBORN is currently PC-only (Windows + Steam Deck). There are no announced console versions at this time.
How does the combo system work?
Every 10 hits on enemies fills 1 combo bar. You can spend 1 bar on a power attack (now chargeable in 1.0, costs stamina) or 3 bars on rage mode. Getting hit removes up to 2 combo points per hit. Higher combo = faster swing speed (capped).
What are the best outpost rooms to build first?
Developer-recommended: Workshop + Forge + Alchemy Lab + Garden. This fully unlocks crafting and provides sustainable potion income. The only wrong choice is building only Quarters at the start. Bedroom and Chapel are also solid choices.
How do I get Learning Points for Misc skills?
Misc skills require Learning Points from Knowledge Tomes. These are rarely found in dungeons, but the best source is buying them from potion merchants in town for 1,500 Gold each. Merchants also sell skill books that improve quest rewards and bartering. There may be a tome that trades regular skill points for learning points.
What's new in the 1.0 Legacy Update?
The 1.0 update adds 90+ reworked weapons, new boss enemies (Orc Goliath, Hunger Behemoth, Zombie Lich), chunk-based regeneration, equipable abilities, new weapon categories (Axe, Maul, Sword), fire/venom/explosive arrows, status effects on enemies (burning, poison, curse), new points of interest, 4 new localizations, and rebalanced combat. RAIDBORN hit #1 on Steam's New & Trending!
How do I find the Guardian Armor?
Find a Crisp Key to access the First Guardian's Crypt in Everband City. Collect 4 Guardian Crystals (only found in high-level dungeons) to open the gate. Don't rush this — it's designed to be solved later in the game.
Can I respec my skill points?
Skills are learned using Learning Points from Knowledge Tomes. There's a rumored tome that can trade regular skill points for learning points. Check potion merchants in town for Knowledge Tomes (1,500 Gold each).
What's the secret code for the Evangelist achievement?
Press Esc → Enter Code → type 'PunchTheCheese'. This replaced the old 'RAIDBORN' code after the 1.0 update. May be removed in future updates — do it early!
Is the combat clunky like Skyrim?
RAIDBORN is often compared to a lite Skyrim. The combat is simpler but more visceral — parrying, kicking, combos, and power attacks create a satisfying rhythm. The kick mechanic is powerful (some say too powerful — you can stun-lock enemies). The 1.0 update improved weapon feedback, added status effects, and reworked 90+ weapons. Tip: learn to parry early — it costs almost no stamina and is more effective than blocking.
Why is there a Day-1 magic DLC?
Magic was never part of the original vision for RAIDBORN. The developer's focus was always melee/ranged combat. Players requested magic for years, and the Spellcraft & Wizardry expansion was created as optional content. The developer has clarified that magic is a bonus, not cut content. The base game received 8 free major updates during Early Access, and the 1.0 Legacy Update is also free. Continued development requires resources — expansions help support free updates.
Is RAIDBORN worth the price?
At full price ($24.99), expect 15-25 hours for the main story with procedural dungeons adding replayability. Many players with 60-85 hours found it highly replayable. The game is developed by a solo developer over 7+ years. If you enjoy dungeon crawlers with satisfying combat and don't need a deep story, it's worth it. I'm stuck on the Bane mechanic — help?
Banes add special modifiers to dungeons. They can be frustrating but are required for the Bane Master achievement. Key tips: Mind Bane needs many Potions of Purity; Shadow Bane needs 20+ torches; Fatigue Bane needs Stamina Essences; Pestilence Bane needs Potion of Vitality (⚠️ known bug: effect may persist after leaving dungeon — use the potion before exiting); Blood Bane requires aggressive play; Carnage Bane is high-risk fast fights.
How do I fix save corruption?

How do I manage outpost inventory?
